Benjamin Netanyahu. Born 1949 in Tel Aviv. Prime minister 1996–99, 2009–21 and since 2022, the longest-serving in Israel's history. The first sitting prime minister charged with a crime; his trial began May 24, 2020, and he requested a pardon in November 2025.
